(this is completely off topic but, I hope you feel better soon Shifufu D: and wow, no updates for the entire month of February. we were both busy and I personally still am - two essays and three projects due next week & the week after. wth am I doing here, really? -_- oh well.)I swear, Hiro-sensei really does like to make all her characters lovable; I'm honestly torn between Usui and Shintani now. I dunno who I should root for anymore! Especially after that scene in ch. 34 (where the entire chapter pretty much skips back and forth between present time and Shintani's memory up to middle school)! Usui's suchameaniepoopfacebully to Shintani in this chapter; he purposely acts all intimate and thoughtful towards Ayuzawa (not that he isn't normally) in front of Shintani, then looks over his shoulder and goes "arf!" to Shintani - like a dog being protective over his "property" and threatens another dog over the possible consequences if he ever touches the said "property".
I was there thinking, "Oh the poor kiddo!" when Shintani cries and "barks" back. It kinda made me feel like Shintani should be the one to stick by Ayuzawa's side; absolute
Anyways. Ch. 35 takes us to Ayuzawa's house! <3 Her Mom's so funny - typical klutzy Mother type who's always dropping everything and can trip over even a dime on the floor. Lmao. Ayuzawa's sister's really cute too - for some reason her expression kinda reminded me of Hanajima from Fruits Basket, ha ha. She's so expressionless but still does cute/funny things. She seems to be able to get along with Shintani really well too, which - of course as expected - causes Usui to get jealous and leaves soon after (not to say that it's certain that Usui's jealous of the fact that Shintani can get along with the rest of Ayuzawa's family of course; he could very well just be thinking of the relationships amongst his own family - who knows).
There's also a good contrast between Ayuzawa and her sister - while being book smart and everything, Ayuzawa's obviously not what one would call "aware"; she's slightly clueless (but thank God it's not too much like Hikari from Special A; or so I've heard, since I lost interest in that series), and knows practically nothing about how to deal with the feelings of others. Her sister Shana on the other hand, is observant and knows exactly how Shintani feels towards her older sibling - not just at current time either, she's known of this since they were little. Ayuzawa-mama as well has the same antenna-of-feeling-awareness as her youngest daughter.
And that's that done. My little thoughts and semi-summary of the two latest chapters.
Now hurry up with the family background of Usui already, Hiro-sensei! I just know that he has a dark one that nobody else knows anything about; why else would a high school student like him live in a luxurious apartment with no - or, not many - furniture? o3o
